HR6 Fuse Switch Disconnectors

HR6 fuse-switch disconnectors (hereinafter referred to as disconnectors) are mainly used in AC 50Hz (60Hz) distribution circuits and motor circuits with rated voltages of 400V/690V and rated currents up to 630A. Engineered for high-reliability electrical systems, these robust units serve as power switches, disconnectors, emergency switches, and circuit protection devices, safeguarding downstream industrial equipment against overloads and severe faults, but are generally not used to directly switch individual motors.

Description

Scope of Application

The heavy-duty HR6 Series Fuse-Switch Disconnectors (hereinafter referred to as disconnectors) are professionally engineered, manufactured, and optimized primarily for low-voltage power networks, serving as critical components in AC 50Hz (or optional 60Hz) electrical distribution circuits and complex motor control circuits with rated operating voltages of 400V or 690V, and rated operating currents reaching up to 630A.

Specifically developed and meticulously tailored for modern high-reliability electrical distribution systems, these exceptionally robust and versatile switch units function seamlessly as primary power switches, highly secure circuit disconnectors, rapid-response emergency switches, and dedicated upstream circuit protection devices. They are designed to continuously protect sensitive downstream industrial equipment, machinery, and sub-panels against hazardous thermal overloads and severe electrical short-circuit faults. However, due to their specific switching mechanics, they are generally not recommended or utilized to directly start, stop, or switch individual motors under normal operating conditions.

Furthermore, these devices deliver superior, arc-free safe load-breaking capabilities and incorporate highly intuitive visible isolation gaps that allow maintenance personnel to visually verify the circuit status at a glance. The entire HR6 series fully complies with the strict requirements of the national GB/T 14048.3 standard alongside corresponding international electrical safety regulations, thereby guaranteeing maximum operational safety, minimizing accidental contact risks, and preventing catastrophic failures during routine system maintenance and field inspection procedures.

Normal working conditions

(1) Ambient Temperature: -5°C ~ +40°C; the average value within 24 hours does not exceed +35°C.

(2) Altitude: Not exceeding 2000m.

(3) Air Conditions: The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 50% when the ambient air temperature is +40°C; at lower temperatures, higher relative humidity is permissible. For example, at 20°C, the relative humidity can reach 90%, taking into account the dissipation of condensation that may occur on the product surface due to temperature changes.

(4) In non-explosive media, and the medium contains no gases or dusts that are sufficiently corrosive to metals or destructive to insulation.

(5) Pollution Degree: Class 3.

(6) Installation Category: Category II, III.

(7) Installation Conditions: It shall be installed vertically in a location without significant shaking and impact vibrations.

Structural features

The switch consists of components such as a base, cover, and arc extinguishing cover. The stationary contact is directly mounted on the base. The arc extinguishing cover is easy to install and remove. Each arc extinguishing cover has an inner and outer part. A multi-piece metal arc extinguishing grid is used, which enhances arc extinguishing capability and improves contact life. The RT16 type fuse is installed inside the cover. The cover can rotate in a fan shape along the support, providing a large arc isolation distance to meet the requirements of the isolating switch. The cover can be conveniently removed from the base, making the installation and replacement of fuses more convenient. The base has two sets of mounting holes, which can meet various installation requirements for switch cabinets and panels. Auxiliary contacts can be installed on both sides of the switch as needed to issue signals indicating the open or closed state of the switch.
